A 10-week healing journey in nature for those recovering from cancer

Have you been feeling lost, anxious, or alone after finishing cancer treatment?
Many people in remission or those who are no longer undergoing active treatment, find themselves without the same level of support they once had, often when they need it most. At this time, it’s normal to feel uncertain, emotionally fragile and like your body needs deep healing after the trauma it’s been through.

Reconnect To Restore is a free 10-week programme designed to support you in this next chapter.

Starting this September, in Corsham, a small, supportive group will meet every Tuesday morning in nature, guided by experienced therapists Richard, Sue, and Kelly, who specialise in working with people affected by cancer.

Together, we’ll explore ways to reconnect with your mind, body, emotions and soul through themes such as:
• Gentle movement and body awareness
• Nutrition and nourishment
• Mental health and emotional resilience
• Creativity and expression
• Acknowledging grief and loss
• Community and shared experience
This is a space for reflection, restoration, and renewal—held firmly with care and compassion.

Meet The Programme Facilitators

We intend to hold a very safe and inclusive space bringing our lived-experience of cancer and professional expertise of nutrition, ecopsychology and psychosynthesis psychotherapy.

Richard Tyler

Richard brings guidance and insight from his own lived experience with blood cancer.  You will often find him walking in nature with his clients, musing on his bench, writing poetry and books about his experiences and offering a different perspective through his psychologically informed lens.

After a decade playing lead roles in West End theatre productions such as The Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables, and singing in concert halls across the globe, Richard brings a creative and artful approach to life. He founded BTFI Ltd in 2004 where, coupled with his professional training in Barrett Values CTT, Systemic Constellation Coaching and ongoing studies in Cognitive Hypnotherapy, ACT and Psychosynthesis, he worked with global brands to help them deepen their leadership and cultural experience.

His work now as a Soul Therapist is grounded in the belief that deep healing happens when we are in relationship; with ourselves, with others and with the more than human world around us. Richard’s practice is grounded in the rhythms of the Earth, drawing on the restorative power of nature to help people reconnect to their inner wisdom, navigate transitions and tend to the soul wounds that conventional therapy often overlooks.

Sue Judge

Sue is deeply interested in what makes you unique. What is your soul yearning for? She is a naturopathic nutritional therapist (Dip CNM) and wellbeing coach with 15 years of experience. Over those 15 years, she has gained additional qualifications in nutrition and cancer (ION), facilitation, TetraMap, Sports and Fitness Gym Instruction, and Running Leadership. She is also trained in applied ecopsychology.

She has 8 years of experience supporting clients through their cancer journey by previously working for Penny Brohn UK and currently serving as the wellbeing lead for We Get It, a Bath-based cancer charity voted Charity of the Year 2024 by Bath Life Awards.

Kelly Tyler

Kelly understands what it takes to step up when your loved one is diagnosed.  As Richard’s wife she held the responsibility of providing care, financial, emotional & practical support for the whole family. From a carers perspective she supports people how to be WITH people living with cancer, rather than trying to fix them and make it all better.

She also is able to hold space as a psychologist and facilitator, and created the Exploring Anxiety In Nature programme with the Psychosynthesis Trust.  Her passion is to help people to connect with themselves through nature and animals especially working on her smallholding with her own alpacas, as Camelid Assisted Therapist.
